Walnuts in Shell – A Brain-Healthy Treat for Larger Parrots

Rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, our human-grade Walnuts in Shell are a premium occasional treat for larger parrots. The distinctive ridged shell provides an excellent foraging challenge, and the reward inside is worth every crack. Best suited to strong-beaked larger birds who can tackle the shell independently.

Suitable For & Feeding Guidelines:

• Large parrots (Macaws, African Greys, Amazons, Cockatoos, Eclectus): 1–2 walnuts per day — feed sparingly due to high fat content
• Medium parrots (Conures, Caiques, Pionus, Ringnecks): 1 walnut every 2–3 days — crack the shell open before serving

Due to their high fat content, walnuts are not recommended as a regular treat for smaller birds such as Cockatiels and Budgies.
