Premium Protein, Naturally Delivered

Quail eggs have long been prized as a nutritional powerhouse — and this gently dried yolk powder brings all of that goodness in a convenient, mess-free form. Rich in high-quality protein, essential fatty acids, and fat-soluble vitamins, quail egg yolk powder is an exceptional topper for parrots during moulting, breeding season, or any time your bird needs an extra nutritional boost.

Benefits

Quail egg yolk is naturally rich in complete protein containing all essential amino acids, supporting feather regrowth, muscle maintenance, and overall condition. It provides a natural source of vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as B12 and choline for brain and nervous system health. The healthy fats in egg yolk also support skin health and help the body absorb fat-soluble nutrients more effectively.

Species Suitability

Quail egg yolk powder is generally considered safe for a wide range of parrot species, including African Grey Parrots, Amazon Parrots, Blue & Gold Macaws, Green-Winged Macaws, Scarlet Macaws, Hyacinth Macaws, Cockatoos, Cockatiels, Eclectus Parrots, Conures, Caiques, Senegal Parrots, Pionus Parrots, Lovebirds, Parrotlets, Budgerigars, Ringneck Parakeets, and Quaker Parrots. It is particularly beneficial during moult or periods of increased energy demand or if your bird is under the weather.

How to Serve

Sprinkle over fresh food, chop, or soft foods 2–3 times per week, make it into a paste or hide in enrichment toys. Small parrots (budgies, parrotlets, lovebirds) can be offered a tiny pinch (approx. ⅛ tsp); medium parrots (cockatiels, conures, caiques, Senegals) around ¼ tsp; large parrots (African Greys, Amazons, Eclectus) around ½ tsp; and extra-large parrots (macaws, cockatoos) up to 1 tsp. As egg yolk is calorie-dense, avoid overfeeding — 2–3 times per week is plenty as part of a varied diet.

⚠️ Our serving guidelines are a general starting point based on commonly available information. Every bird is an individual — always do your own research, consult an avian vet if you have any concerns, and check suitability for your specific species before introducing any new food. Discontinue use if any adverse reaction is observed.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal after each use. Once opened, use within 3 months for best quality.
