Pecans in Shell – A Rich Foraging Treat for Larger Parrots

Indulge your parrot with the rich, buttery flavour of our human-grade Pecans in Shell. High in healthy fats and antioxidants, pecans are a luxurious occasional treat that also provides excellent foraging enrichment. Best suited to larger parrots who can crack the shell with ease.

Suitable For & Feeding Guidelines:

• Large parrots (Macaws, African Greys, Amazons, Cockatoos, Eclectus): 1–2 pecans per day — feed sparingly due to high fat content
• Medium parrots (Conures, Caiques, Pionus, Ringnecks): 1 pecan every 2–3 days — crack the shell open before serving

Due to their high fat content, pecans are not recommended as a regular treat for smaller birds such as Cockatiels and Budgies.
